Cruise to Catalina

Last week we went on a cruise to Catalina Island. They cancelled the port to Ensenada(something about swine flu, I don't really know, they haven't said much about it:)!!!!!) anyway we had so much fun. If you know me at all you know that I tend to forget my camera at the dumbest times, like when I want to take a picture. Luckily Brandon has his phone so we got some pics of Catalina. We went with our friends Jackie and Kevin. It was so nice to go on vacation without our kids. We missed them a lot, but the break was well worth it. Thank you everyone who helped watch them.


We stayed at Kevins parents house for a couple of nights and went swimming and hot tubbing. Fun!!! Kevin and his brother decided to throw Brandon in the pool. Everything was good until they discovered Brandon had his phone on him. No worries it dried out quite nicely.

I love these towel animals that they do, they are so cute.

The island was so cool. We rented a golf cart and cruised around checking out the place.

The only downside of the whole trip, was that it was chilly. I was expecting to lay out and get a tan, but instead we ended up wearing sweatshirts most of the time.

Mothers Day

For Mothers Day my sister Rachel and I decided that we wanted to get my mom one of those edible arrangements. Come to find out, those things are EXPENSIVE. So being the creative types that we are, we decided to do it ourselves. I think it turned out rather well!!!!!!!!!

We also had a barbecue at my house, which turned out to be a lot of fun. I don't have any pics of that, because Rachel took them all, but maybe if Rachel blogged we would be able to see them:)

Day at the Zoo

So I am a little behind, but I am going to do 3-4 posts to get caught up. The first one is the trip to the Zoo. This was Austins first time, but Kylee's second. They thought it was pretty cool. The big water ball is always a hit.



I couldn't get Kylee to pose with with the giant gorilla so here is Austin and me.

We went with my friend Jackie and her girls. AvRee and Kylee had a lot of fun together.

I think Kylee liked the train the best.

Austin wasn't the biggest fan of doing this, so this is the best that we got.

Sad, that my arms are almost as long as the gorillas. I guess that is where Austin gets it from.

Easter

Kylee wasn't the most cooperative on Easter. I tried to take a picture of her and her basket, but she kept hiding her face. I also wanted a picture of her in her new Easter dress, but she cried the whole time. You can tell in the picture, because her eyes are all red, and if you know my daughter, you know that her new thing is to pick her nose. Gross, I know. I am going to add this to the "Pics Kylee will love when she is older" file.

Austin on the other hand loved his Easter basket. He thought those eggs were so cool. I had to take pics of him in his church clothes, because I just think he is so studly. We went to Brandon's brothers house for dinner. We had tons of fun. There was a full house, but they have plenty of house to fill, so it worked out. Dinner was delicious!!!! It was a very nice day.

Kylee

My sister Rachel is turning into quite the little photographer. She took these pictures and I thought they turned out so good. So I wanted to post them and give Rachel props at the same time.

Twilight Mayhem

So in true Twilight fan fashion, Mom, Tara, Rachel, Marielle, and I went to the dvd release party. We went to the Walmart by my house because we figured it would be less busy than downtown stores. Well when we got there, there were news trucks and cops galore. Apparently there was something big happening.



When we got inside they had it all decorated in Twilight memorabilia. We shoved and pushed and got shoved ourselves, trying to get to the front. There were whispers that Victoria was going to be there. Sure enough she was, and people went crazy. We couldn't really see her, but she did stand for a minute and I hurried and snapped a picture. As you can see from the pic below, it wasn't fast enough and the big security guard is blocking her. So I posted a picture of what we saw most of the time, peoples heads(well except Mari, she saw mostly peoples butts, it pays to be tall) :)




Despite the stinky sweaty room it was fun I guess. We did get our dvd and had a party to watch it on Saturday night. Yep just as cheesy as the first 5 times I saw it, but its Twilight so who cares.

Happy 1st Birthday Austin

We had a party for Austins 1st birthday! We had so much fun. He got so many new toys and clothes. Austin has a hard time being able to play with his new toys, because Kylee always comes and takes them from him. She thinks all toys are her toys.

This was a delicious cake. MMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!! We had pizza and ice cream as well. No diets at this house :)

At first Austin just stared at the cake. I thought he would just dig right in, but I soon learned that I have a proper son and he waited until I gave him a spoon.

It turns out that Austin is more like his mom than I thought. He needed a little milk to go with his cake.
